The weekly family wash
Load it, wash it, dry it, fold it on the benches and go. Start to finish it’s about half an hour, which beats three loads at home across a whole Saturday.
Clean, modern, eco-friendly machines on Katoomba Street, in the Aldi complex. Park at the door, put the washing on, do the shop. A full family wash takes about 30 minutes.
Open 6am–10pm daily
Our machines are the latest equipment available in Australia, sized from an everyday load right up to commercial. Here’s what people bring in most.

The things that never really fit in a domestic machine. Ours take them comfortably, and more importantly they come out properly dry rather than damp in the middle.
There’s a machine set aside just for these. It means dog and horse gear gets a machine built to cope with it, and nobody else’s sheets ever go in after it.
Back off the track with half the Blue Mountains on your boots. Sleeping bags, jackets, muddy layers, all sorted before you drive home. We open early and close late, so a wash fits either side of a walk.
Short-stay sheets and towels, workwear, uniforms. The large machines are built for commercial loads, so a full changeover doesn’t take you all afternoon.
It takes about a minute to work out. Here’s the whole thing.
No booking, no waiting for a slot. We’re open from six in the morning until ten at night, seven days a week, public holidays included.
Pick the machine that suits your load and pay at the machine. It’s coin-operated, and there’s a note-to-coin machine inside if you’ve only got notes on you.
Bring your own if you prefer a particular one. If you’ve forgotten it, the powder dispenser is right there in the shop.
Free WiFi and a seat if you’re staying, or duck into Aldi and the shops on Katoomba St and come back to a finished load.
Every price is marked on the machine itself, so there are no surprises once you’re standing there with a basket.

Yes. The large machines are made for exactly this: doonas, blankets, curtains, sleeping bags. They’re energy and water efficient too, and they dry things through properly rather than leaving the middle damp.
Yes, and please use the dedicated pet machine rather than a standard one. We keep it set aside for dog, cat and horse gear, which is better for your washing and for everyone else’s.
The large machines are suitable for commercial work: short-stay and cottage linen, uniforms, workwear. If you’ve got a regular changeover and want to talk about timing, give us a ring on (02) 4703 6600.
It’s the other way around. Our machines read the absorbency of the load at the start of the cycle and adjust the water level at every stage of the wash program to match.
That means they use far less water than a domestic machine at home, and one big load here beats three small ones there.
Free WiFi, seating by the window and stainless folding benches. Plenty of people put a load on and just work through it.
